About
We're building AI personas for marketing research
Person.run started with a simple observation: getting real consumer insights is too slow, too expensive, and too limited. AI personas change that.
In 2024, when large language models finally became good enough for production, a new possibility emerged: what if you could run a focus group, survey, or concept test with AI personas that think like real people? Not generic chatbots — fully realized individuals with demographics, life histories, and coherent opinions.
Traditional market research takes weeks and costs thousands. Recruiting panels, scheduling sessions, transcribing and analyzing — it's a bottleneck that slows every product and marketing decision. Jordan and Sam had both felt this pain at their previous companies. In late 2024, they decided to build a better way.
Person.run launched in November 2025 to public beta. In three months, over 50,000 personas were generated — powering virtual focus groups, ad concept tests, policy surveys, and first-person narrative studies for teams of every size.
We're a small, focused team. We believe AI-powered research should augment human judgment, not replace it. Our personas give you fast, directional insights so you can make better decisions — then validate with real people when it matters most.
What we believe
Human-centered AI
We believe synthetic respondents should think like real people — with nuance, bias, and life context. Every feature we build asks: would this response hold up in a real study?
Researcher-first
We dogfood every API before it ships. If a study takes more than five minutes to set up, we redesign the workflow.
Responsible defaults
Consistency guardrails and transparency are on by default, not an afterthought. We make the responsible path the easy path.
Radical transparency
Public changelog, public roadmap, public status page. We share what we're building and why — including the mistakes.
